Quotation Exclusions

• Meals and beverages not specified under inclusions.

• International, regional, and local airfares; airport taxes.

• Passport and visa fees and service charges for obtaining visas.

• Excess baggage charges levied by airlines.

• Gratuities for driver/guides and other attendants.

• Laundry and personal items (telephone calls, premium drinks, etc.) beyond what is specified.

• Personal, baggage, accident, and trip cancellation/interruption insurance.

• Any item not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.

• Bishop’s House exclusions:
  premium drinks and personal expenses.

Notes

• Marriott Kigali:
  Half board includes dinner only; check‑in 15:00; check‑out 12:00.

• Merengeti Rhino Safari excursions:
  The maximum duration is three hours.

• Bishop’s House levy:
  3% included (valid 01/07/2025–31/12/2026).

• Volcanoes National Park:
  Gorilla permit USD 1,500 per person; minimum trekking age 15 years; trekking departs at 07:00 from Kinigi offices.

• Baggage:
  Soft bags preferred; plastic (polythene) bags are prohibited in Rwanda.

Terms and Conditions

Booking Terms

1. All quotations are net/non‑commissionable and include government taxes.

2. Upon confirmation an invoice will be issued; immediate payment is required to secure reservations.

3. Liability for excursions or services not booked through our offices will not be assumed.

4. Cash payments:
   US dollar notes printed in 2000 and earlier are not accepted.

5. Bank transfers:
   USD 35.00 fee for international telegraphic transfers applies.

Gorilla Permits

• Permits are confirmed on payment of USD 1,500 per permit to the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

• Permits are non‑refundable and subject to change without prior notice.

• Primate Safaris LTD is not responsible if permits are unavailable at time of payment receipt.

Cancellation Policy Excluding Permits

• 60 days and over:
  No charges.

• 59–36 days:
  45% cancellation charge.

• 35–16 days:
  75% cancellation charge.

• 15 days and under:
  100% cancellation charge.

• Any unused portion of a safari or tour is non‑refundable.

• Some upmarket properties require a non‑refundable deposit; amount advised at booking.

Hotel Specific Policy

• Marriott Kigali:
  Room reservations may be canceled up to 48 hours prior to arrival. Cancellations within 48 hours or no‑shows incur a one‑night fee including room and tax. Date changes within the cancellation period are treated as cancellations and rebookings.

Important Travel Notes

• VISA:
  Visas on arrival for most nationalities. Travel document must be valid for at least 6 months. Tourist visa fees: USD 50 single entry; USD 70 multiple entry; East Africa Tourist Visa USD 100. Visa waiver arrangements apply for certain countries.

• Health:
  Valid Yellow Fever Certificate required for travelers from endemic countries. COVID‑19 vaccination is recommended.

• Insurance:
  Personal travel insurance is recommended.

• Local Regulations:
  Plastic (polythene) bags are prohibited in Rwanda.
