10 days Luxury Safari - Mt. Kilimanjaro and Serengeti

Day 1 | Mount Kilimanjaro - Machame Camp

This is the moment you've been waiting for: your Tanzanian adventure starts here. Begin your climb of Africa's tallest mountain via the scenic Machame Route. The forests and small villages in the lower foothills soon give way to more open country as the slopes steepen.

At Machame Camp (2,835m), you'll be surrounded by trees with beautiful views of the higher country to the north. Spend the evening sharing climbing stories with fellow adventurers.

Day 2 | Mount Kilimanjaro - Shira Camp 1

Ascend to Shira Camp 1 at 3,810m on the Shira Plateau. This camp sees fewer travelers than many other Kilimanjaro campsites. You should be able to see Kilimanjaro's Kibo summit northeast from your tent, and Mount Meru to the west.

Day 3 | Mount Kilimanjaro - Barranco Camp

Continue to Barranco Camp (3,983m) where you can see Kilimanjaro's summit. It's a stirring backdrop to the campsite, with high snows contrasting the bare, dry landscape. Barranco lies along several climbing routes, so there are always lots of climbers in camp.

Day 4 | Mount Kilimanjaro - Karanga Camp

There's a wild and beautiful feel to staying at Karanga Camp (3,995m), high on Mount Kilimanjaro. The surrounding alpine desert landscape is stunning, with clear views of the mountain's summit and plenty of room for tents.

Day 5 | Mount Kilimanjaro - Barafu Camp

Reach Barafu Camp at 4,681m, surrounded by a landscape where nothing grows and views extend across the mountain's high valleys. 'Barafu' means 'ice' in Swahili - it's always cold up here. Tomorrow you'll attempt the summit!

Day 6 | Summit Day - Mweka Camp

Summit day! Early morning ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) - the roof of Africa. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Mweka Camp (3,060m). Here you can breathe easier and enjoy the spectacular views with fellow climbers who are happy and excited to be on the way down.

Day 7 | Descent & Rest - Karatu

Complete your Kilimanjaro descent and transfer to Karatu Tented Lodge for a well-deserved rest. The lodge features a swimming pool, bar and restaurant with warmly decorated rooms, private bathrooms and friendly service.

Day 8 | Serengeti National Park

If you haven't fallen in love with Tanzania by now, the Serengeti will make it happen. This UNESCO World Heritage-listed park is extraordinary, with savannah grasslands that seem endless and more animals than you ever thought possible.

Spend two unforgettable nights at Siringit Migration Camp, a luxury mobile camp that moves with the Great Wildebeest Migration, offering intimate encounters with the wildlife spectacle.

Day 9 | Serengeti National Park

You'll get to know the Serengeti and its colorful cast of characters even better with another day immersed in its wild beauty. Big lion prides stalk the riverbanks, solitary leopards watch from acacia trees, and cheetahs streak across the plains in pursuit of gazelles.

Day 10 | Serengeti National Park - Departure

There's no such thing as too many days in the Serengeti – today you'll get to enjoy it all over again before your safari in Tanzania comes to an end, bringing to a close your time in this remarkable country.
